Batman Unhinged.

I've not seen Christian Bale in American Psycho, but I thought he did a really good job in Batman Begins.

He's in the upcoming Terminator Salvation, so that already has my attention.

Only thing is, I think princess needs to get over himself.

Apparently a DoP walked through the set, and Christian's line of vision, distracting him.

This is the result:

For me, this is a cack. Being on set is a different reality at times, and actors really do seem to live on another planet.

Of course, some people think that there could be other factors at play, but as I tell my girl repeatedly,

There is no excuse for bad manners.

I did get a good laugh out of it, though. :)

Benbrika Behind Bars.

Well, well, well.

Abdul Nacer Benbrika, he who believes that islamic law tops any other law, has been sentenced to between twelve and fifteen years. This provides us with yet another wtf moment brought to you by people who don't quite see things the way we do.

...since when jihad has become synonymous with terrorism in our deen???

Hmmm. Let me see.....

I'm sure I don't need to mention 9/11, or Bali, or Madrid, or London.

Heck, I don't even need to use google, and I bet my readers don't, either.

There are also Sudan and Hamas and Hezbollah, which we're also aware of.

According to my handy copy of The Reliance of the Traveller,
o9.0 JIHAD

(O:Jihad means to war against non-Muslim, and is etymologically derived from the workd mujahada, signifying warfare to establish the religion. And it is the lesser jihad. As for the greater jihad, it is the spiritual warfare against teh lover self (nafs) which is why the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said as he was returning from jihad,

"We have returned from the lesser jihad to the greater jihad."

The scriptural basis for jihad, prior to scholarly consensus (def: b7) is such Koranic verses as:

(1)"Fighting is prescribed for you" (Koran 2:216);

(2) "Slay them wherever you find them" (Koran 4:89);

(3) "Fight the idolators utterly" (Koran 9:36);

and such hadiths as the one related by Bukhari and Muslim that the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said:

"I have been commanded to fight people until they testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and perform the prayer, and pay zakat. If they say it, they have saved their blood and possessions from me, except for the rights of Islam over them. And their final reckoning is with Allah";

and the hadith reported by Muslim,

"To go forth in the morning or evening to fight in the path of Allah is better than the whole world and everything in it."

Details concerning jihad are found in the accounts of the military expeditions of the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace), including his own martial forays and those on which he dispatched others. The former consist of the ones her personally attended, some twenty-seven (others say twenty-nine) of them. He fought in eight of them, and killed only one person with his noble hand. Ubayy ibn Khalaf, at the battle of Uhud. On the latter expeditions he sent other to fight, himself remaining at Medina, and these were forty-seven in number.)

I suspect our commenter above probably missed Fitna, but that's okay. There are those around who are happy to follow the laws of islam as per the Reliance:

i keep breathing for the day that you and your ilk are hanging from trees by your feet with your throats cut.I would personally relish slicing off your cock and stuffing it down your fathers throat and watching your children watch you both fucking die.Oxygen thieves like you must be slaughtered. free Palestine. I am sure i'll see you around the city.Come and introduce yourself 3==D 0=

This fellow would have no problem shouting allahu akhbar while sticking a knife into someone.

He no doubt thinks that Theo van Gogh got what was coming to him.

Personally, I'd settle for Benbrika and his wife and offspring being deported back to Algeria rather than taking a bucketload of benefits.
