I like it. I wrote once I think about the butterflies in Nicaragua? I could go on for days about the things I saw in just one day. A picture says a thousand Dag-words. Very lovely.
At the Melbourne Zoo we have a butterfly enclosure. That's where this was taken.
I love to take Magilla there once a year and watch her face as she's developing.
When she was a few months old she didn't really notice anything, but as she gets older she picks up more and more.
While I have conflicting feelings about zoos, I do believe it is good for children to see the animals off the screen.
All kids should have pets, as they learn responsibility, caring and duty - and not to strangle the cat or you'll end up with a classic shiner.
They learn the love and comfort of a cat crawling into their lap and purring herself to sleep.
Every child should have that pleasure.
